High-Velocity Pipe Flushing
(Oil, Water, Fuel)
Contamination kills lubrication and cooling systems! High-velocity flushing is the fastest and most economical way to clean pipe systems. This is only effectively done when the highest possible Reynolds number is achieved. This cannot be properly achieved with system pumps. High-output pumps must be looped into the system to achieve proper cleaning. Engineers are taught a Reynolds number of 4,000 is required.
This is false! A number of 4,000 is just the beginning of turbulent flow and will not effectively clean pipe. A Reynolds number of 10,000 to 100,000 is necessary to achieve the proper scrubbing action required. Flow rates of 2X to 4X of normal system flows should be targeted as a minimum.
Bearings and heat exchangers must be bypassed, and system choke points removed and jumped to maximize flow. High heat and low viscosity flush mediums will decrease project time and increase system cleanliness. Turbine Cleaner cleans carbon steel, stainless steel, copper, copper-nickel, bronze and alloy pipe systems.
Oil Filtration
Old system oil is typically dirty and newly purchased oil is always dirty regardless of manufacturer promises. We use screens, filter bags, and filter cartridges ranging from 25 Micron to 1 Micron to properly purify oil, fuel, and water systems. Multiple passes are almost always required to achieve ISO cleanliness standards.
Contamination can destroy bearings on multimillion-dollar systems and shut them down for months waiting for the completion of repairs, costing millions of dollars in lost revenue. A clean system can have dirty oil and a dirty system can have clean oil.
Tank Cleaning
The quickest way to contaminate a clean system is to fill a dirty reservoir tank through dirty supply lines. Our crews conduct confined space entry and hand clean your storage tanks.
Chemical Cleaning
High-velocity flushing alone may not be effective for pipe systems extremely contaminated with rust, calcium carbonate, sludge, wax, varnish, or other contaminants. The solution is chemically cleaning with acids, alkalines, or other solvents that are very effective in restoring pipe systems.
Turbine Cleaner can chelate, pickle and passivate pipe systems. Turbine Cleaner has specialized equipment and expertise to clean in the worst-case scenarios.
Vacuum Dehydration
When oil lubrication and cooling systems become contaminated with water, we can remove unwanted water with our vacuum dehydrator systems ranging from 10 GPM to 50 GPM.
Varnish Removal
We have Fast and Slow methods of varnish removal. The slow method involves slipstreaming the oil through a kidney-loop using a proprietary resin bed to trap more than 100 types of varnish. The advantage of this method is your system remains operational and equipment can remain installed long term or permanently for ongoing varnish mitigation.
The fast method requires system shutdown and aggressive chemical cleaning agents. The results are nearly instantaneous but will require a sacrificial rinse fluid to remove the cleaning agent prior to installing new operating oil.
Hydrostatic Testing
For new system commissioning and post repair pressure testing on existing systems, we can hydrostatically pressure test using air, nitrogen, water, or oil up to 10,000 psi. Always pressure test first and then Clean.
Heat Exchanger Cleaning
We specialize in cleaning tube & shell, plate & frame, and fin-fan heat exchangers in the field and at our facility. Brand new heat exchangers are always dirty. Our industrial customers find that 80% of all heat exchangers returned from professional cleaning shops still have dirt in them.
Let us kidney loop your heat exchangers while we are doing your high velocity flush to eliminate system contamination. Heat exchangers are dirt filters and are exceptionally difficult to clean. Do not self-contaminate on system startup. Let Turbine Cleaner clean your heat exchangers properly.
Worldwide Emergency Response- FAST !
Crashed systems can cost manufacturers millions of dollars in daily revenue, so we completely understand the importance of speedy response in emergency situations. After catastrophic equipment failure, Turbine Cleaner can be on site within 24 hours for 60% of the continental United States and have 100% coverage within 48 hours.
We can often have technicians at the airport within 4 hours after you hang up the phone. Our equipment and crews are available worldwide by ocean or air freight.
